Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
No. Rooted Health is a cash-pay direct primary care practice. We don’t bill Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance, which lets us keep prices transparent and visits unrushed. We recommend keeping coverage for hospital, specialist, ER, and imaging needs.
Do I have to be a member to come in?
No. Membership is optional. You can pay per visit or à la carte. Memberships offer ongoing care and savings for patients who want them.
What is direct primary care?
A membership model where you pay the clinic directly for care, with no insurance company in between. You get direct access to your provider, transparent prices, and unrushed visits.
How do I become a member?
Call or text (479) 880-6148, take our membership quiz, or book a consultation. Enrollment takes about 15 minutes.
Are memberships month-to-month?
All memberships are 12-month agreements. Cancellation requires 30 days’ written notice and a $150 early-cancellation fee applies before 12 months.
What if I need to see a specialist or go to the ER?
Your membership covers care at Rooted Health. We recommend maintaining separate coverage for hospital, specialist, surgical, imaging, and emergency services.
Can I get my prescription refilled without an appointment?
Yes — submit our Medication Refill Request form on the Contact page or call us. Refills are reviewed by your provider.
Do you offer virtual visits?
Yes. Rooted Virtual DPC ($99/month) is our telehealth membership for primary care by video. Existing in-person members can also do virtual visits within their plan when appropriate.
